Re-Opening

As of Wednesday 20th May we are planning on re-opening initially we will open Wednesdays to Sunday’s and as hopefully demand increases we will open up on Mondays and Tuesdays for PRIVATE LESSONS or SEMI-PRIVATE FOR COMPETENT RIDERS FROM THE SAME HOUSEHOLD, NO JUMPING LESSONS, PARTIES, WALKABOUTS OR HACKING WILL BE PROVIDED AT THIS TIME please telephone between 9am & 5pm to book a lesson. We also feel for safety we cannot provide riding for any tiny tots who will need closer supervision. We will also require for the foreseeable future that all lessons be paid for in full over the phone or in the office when a booking is made. Please do not message as we do not always get around to answering them in a timely manner. This will be non refundable but can be rolled into the next lesson if cancelled in advance of 24hrs of the lesson.

Update on Lessons:

Due to the changes in lockdown restrictions we are pleased to announce that we can now offer:

Shared lessons for those from different households
Group lessons for up to 5 people
Private lessons for beginners
Hacking & jumping lessons for more experienced riders

Also Pony Club will be starting Weds 10th!! (please contact Jacky to re-book you space)

Social distancing and restrictions will still be very much in place so please respect these and as always if you or anyone in your household is ill or you have been asked to self isolate please DO NOT come for your lesson.

A 100% cancellation free will be taken if the lesson is not cancelled prior to 24hr before the booking unless the cancellation is Covid -19 related.

We will have a 1 customer at any one time in the tack room rule and advise where possible that customers bring their own hat and boots and wear gloves at all times, anyone wanting to purchase your own hat/boots/ body protector/ leathers & irons we have secured a Oaklands customer discount with The Farmers Friend who will happily take your telephone order and deliver direct to the stables for your collection. We will provide hat liners and all hats/ boots will be disinfected after every use.

We require customers to arrive 15 minutes prior to lesson but unfortunately we won’t be able to allow you to help put the horses away after lessons and ask that you leave swiftly after the lesson.

We ask you to be mindful of not touching any surface ie stable doors fencing etc while at the stables and that you limit the number of spectators coming to watch and where possible spectators watch from a car.

All our staff will practice social distancing where possible but if anyone requires help mounting then they will have adequate PPE in place. All safety checks will still be carried out as quickly and safely as possible.

We hope to see you soon
